 Jude
Siciliano, OP, is a member of the Southern Dominican Province,
Order of Preachers (OP), and lives with his Dominican brothers in Houston,
Texas. He has been a preacher since his ordination in 1969. For fourteen
years he taught Homiletics at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Ca.,
and is a past president of the Catholic Association of Teachers of Homiletics.
He was a volunteer chaplain at San Quentin
Prison and a member of North Carolina’s "People of Faith Against the
Death Penalty." He also preached parish retreats, as well as retreats for
priests, religious, deacons and laity.
He also traveled throughout the
country giving preaching workshops to ordained and lay preachers... and
currently writes a weekly reflection, "First Impressions", on this website. He also provides a
free email service,
mailed out on Monday mornings, for those who prefer a printable
Microsoft Word version to work with.
